Arbitration & ECAF
User Kevin Rose said the following back in August: “Arbitration isn’t cheap. It’s a sophisticated, self-sustaining, state recognized the alternative to dispute resolution.” User Michael Yeates responds to this by saying that states such as Canada and China only recognize it for cases which are commercial in nature. They don’t respect it for cases of theft. User Kevin Rose asks Michael if he has seen any examples that do. User Michael Yeates replies that arbitration is normally for commercial cases so he guesses that each one would be treated individually.
User Sharif says the following on the matter: “So we are saying that Arbitration isn't a good fit for theft. I can see that. Even the police don't do anything about petty theft anymore. Any idea what we should do next? Nothing is one option”

Constitution & WPs
User Clement asks Kevin Rose about the five constitution proposals and whether the one from Dan Larimer is still the best contender to the current interim constitution. User Kevin Rose replies and says that some would say that it is the best contender. However, others will disagree. It will remain unclear until it is voted upon.
User Clement asks why Block.one is against WPs. User Thomas Cox replies as follows: “The big concern I recall Dan voicing was that there was too much evidence of self-voting and collusion in the BP voting and that an untrustworthy cadre of voters couldn't be trusted with the keys to WPs. The counter-argument is that the threshold for BP fraud is 0.5% of the vote, whereas WPs would require 55% of the vote”
User Clement responds to Thomas Cox and says that they disagree about the mechanics of WPs but not the concept. User Thomas Cox says that this is more the case with the social context than the code-mechanics. Some would say Dan's objection means the entire concept of the WPs is fatally flawed. User Thomas Cox continues by saying the following: “I think that that might be the case, but I personally would prefer to at least attempt to make WPS work once or twice before giving up on it”. User Clement asks if by social context Thomas Cox means that humans could try to manipulate the system.
User Old Man says the following on the matter: “I am personally very, very opposed to any sort of long-term WPS baked into EOS. I wouldn't mind burning the current savings on WP initiatives, but when that's gone it's done. We already have enough problems with whales/exchanges corrupting governance for profit (BPs), WP funds simply accelerate the corruption”
User Sharif responds to Old Man and asks why we do not just outsource the process. He wonders why B1 won’t just fund the development.

Other

User Clement asks for an overview of the latest discussions of the channel and posts a video that helped him out, you can view it here: https://blog.icoalert.com/everything-eos-auroraeos-eosny
User Kyle posts an article from Medium, you can read it here: https://steemit.com/starteos/@theawakenment/to-all-long-term-eos-token-holders
User Kevin Rose replies to the article posted by Kyle and says that long-form content like this is necessary to keep the conversation on track in the world of fly by telegram chats. User Kyle says the following: “The idea only came to me a couple of days ago. As I'm working on two EOS apps (as well as recovering from surgery), I don't have a great deal of spare time, however, if you think enough BPs would be willing to enter into such a smart contract and I knew we had the numbers, then I'd be more inclined to work on it. Don't want to spend time creating something for BPs then say - not interested thanks.”
User Old Man replies on the article of Kyle and says that B1 did not want to believe that whales would whale. B1 released an infant blockchain into the world with no means to protect itself from the greedy people that have most of the wealth/tokens/stake, continues user Old Man.

Arbitration & ECAF

Constitution & WPs
