The safest way to vote for EOS Block Producers on MAC OS

For now, voting via Cleos is the only fully secure way of EOS voting. Now it is even easier for Mac OS users, thanks to our simple eos-mac-wallet.

Please note that all keys dispayed here for exemplary purposes only.

Download app from EOS Emerge Poland GitLab repo:

1. Open a terminal and then type:

cd Downloads

cd eos-mac-wallet-master

2. Now run ./install-opt - to install needed libraries

./install-opt

3. Now you can create secure local EOS wallet to store your private key

./cleos wallet create

this will create your wallet in eosio-wallet folder in your home directory and display your wallet password

**** remember your wallet password !!! ****

4. Import your private key (private key is stored securely only inside your local machine). Private key is additionally encrypted too

./cleos wallet import <yourprivatekey>

5. You can check your keys with command below

there will be two public keys - one when you created your wallet, second connected to your private key

./cleos wallet keys

6. Last two steps: get your account name first

./find-account

after executing this command paste ETH or EOS public key it will show your account name under EOS address from final eos snapshot

7. And now you are ready to vote for Block Producers

./cleos system voteproducer prods <your 12 char account name> <12char producer name> -p <your 12 char account name>

So for example if you would like to vote for your favourite block producer ;) “emergepoland” with a account name “gyztmobygyge” command would look like that:

./cleos system voteproducer prods gyztmobygyge emergepoland -p gyztmobygyge

8. To vote for more than one BP candidate simply separate their account names with spacebar

for example: emergepoland eosgreeniobp
in this case, command line would look like this:

./cleos system voteproducer prods gyztmobygyge emergepoland eosgreeniobp -p gyztmobygyge

9. To check your vote:

./cleos get account <your 12 char account name>

for example:

./cleos get account gyztmobygyge

10. DONE!
