01 Why did EOS fall and fall again?

During the recent period, due to the collapse of EOS Price, a lot of posts and articles about EOS said that EOS is a scam, a lot of people were cheated, and so on. However, I think it’s because those people are too eager to see EOS being prosperous which may have taken a longer time than they expected.

In fact, the collapse of EOS Price is not entirely caused by EOS itself.

First of all, the China-US Trade War caused by the US “Article 301” continued to escalate, resulting in the continued appreciation of the US dollar. As the reaction of emerging market currencies to the US dollar is reversed, the rising of the US dollar directly led to the collapse of emerging market currencies, and this situation also spread to the cryptocurrency market.

Investors in emerging markets may increase their holdings of digital currencies when the currency depreciates. However, as the US dollar remains the reserve currency of most investors around the world, investors will not have much incentive to keep money in the numbers as the dollar strengthens. This directly led to the withdrawal of a large number of funds from the digital money market, and there was no new capital injection, which caused the number of funds traded in the market to plummet.

Secondly, during the bull market, a large number of inferior projects or empty shell projects which relied on technology coats emerged. After making enough money, they left the cryptocurrency market with a large sum of money, which also leads to a further reduction in the number of funds traded in the market.

Therefore, the main reason for the overall downturn in the cryptocurrency market is the excessive loss of funds in the digital currency trading market. EOS, which is still in its early stages of growth, can't go against the trend, so it has been falling.

Of course, this wave of plunging is also related to EOS itself: after the main net released, there are not many good projects online, and the absence of the governance of Block. One has hindered the development of EOS, so it is normal to drop.

02 Clearance or insistence?

Although I have already understood the main reason for the collapse of EOS, in this bear market where we can't see the end, all the EOS enthusiasts will still be very tormented. Struggling with the clearance or insistence problem, they never get the answer in the bleak market.

Some people couldn't stand the torment and chose to clear the holdings and leave the cryptocurrency market. One foreign investor said on Twitter that he had cleared all of his digital currencies and claimed that investing in digital currency was the biggest mistake of his life.

Some people choose to believe in it, and they believe that the "bear market" can create a good environment for those who really do things, so that they can calm down and develop blockchain projects.

Recently, Xue Manzi, who has always been optimistic about EOS, also said: " Great projects were born in the bear market. In 2000, the Internet bubble burst, and a large number of great companies such as Amazon were born in the cold winter of the Internet; Ethereum was also born in the winter of the cryptocurrency market during 2014 and 2015." Perhaps, in 2018, the winter of the cryptocurrency market will provide the success of EOS.

03 EOS with good performance

EOS will surpass Ethereum and become a better project. This is by no means empty talk.

The first is performance. As we all know, the current TPS of Ethereum cannot meet the requirements of most business applications. a series of problems, such as the Cryptokitties event at the beginning of the year, the high-cost Gas fee affected by Fcoin in June, and the congestion after the Fomo3D outbreak in the previous period, have pushed Ethereum to the forefront of public opinion.

On the contrary, EOS's TPS far exceeds Ethereum. As of the time of writing this article, the EOS maximum TPS has reached 3,972 and is constantly reaching new All-Time High.

The second is the technology development side. EOS has done a lot of early experiments with BTS and Steem, and it's not going to be a big problem. For example, Steem, a pioneer in the design of the token economy, has worked perfectly for three years.

What is more, BM is a doer, which means he will knock out the code to implement as long as there is an idea. Although sometimes his ideas are unreasonable, more often, his ideas and corresponding actions have really been pushing the progress of EOS, including the development of the EOS, the DRAM proposed last month, the latest proposed EOS resource exchanges and so on.

Last but not least, eco governance. We can see that the whole EOS community is very united.

04 EOS is not currency. It is a decentralized organization. The point is its governance

EOS is not a currency. It’s a rapidly evolving competitive decentralized organization. Quoted from Brendan Blumer, the CEO of block.one.

Compared with Bitcoin and Ethereum, EOS does not have many advantages at the monetary level. Its core advantage is to play governance, just like playing a city-state governance. In this city-state, there are constitutions, arbitration institutions, public opinion organizations, exchanges, foundations, contracts... And living citizens.

This reminds me of a metaphor used by Luo Zhenyu on a live webcast: "getting" APP is like a city-state, and "getting" APP users are its citizens. "A good city-state does not have to send immigration ads everywhere, the only thing citizens need to do is maintain good transport infrastructure and civic culture, then, people from outside will naturally migrate to you."

Thus, as EOS token holders or EOS enthusiasts, what we should do is to build and maintain the city-state of EOS, make suggestions for the development of this city-state, and ensure that all the organizations, institutions, laws can operate in an orderly manner. Only in this way, can the city-state EOS be sustained and developed healthily, thus, as citizens of the city-state, we can "live and work in peace and contentment" and enjoy the dividends of city-state development.

So, during the bear market period, what we are afraid most is not a slump, but that you have lost faith in EOS, that you have never participated in EOS governance but thinking about the EOS dividend.

The EOS is not a currency, but a decentralized organization that focuses on governance and requires the participation of all.

“EOS币价一跌再跌，我感觉我都快没信仰了！”、“我还能继续相信EOS吗？”这是近段时间在公众号后台留言最多的内容。

01 为什么EOS一跌再跌？

这段时间，由于EOS的暴跌，网上看了很多关于EOS的帖子和文章等，大多说EOS是坑是骗局，套了很多人之类的，但我觉得这都是怀揣着一颗老母亲的心，恨EOS不能快点成才，所以一时气急败坏说出的胡话。

但事实上，这次EOS的暴跌不完全是EOS本身造成的。

首先，美国“301条款”引起的中美贸易冲突持续升级，导致美元持续走强。由于新兴市场货币对美元走强的反应是相反的，美元的走强直接导致新兴市场货币的暴跌态势，而这一态势也蔓延到数字货币市场。

虽然当本币贬值时，新兴市场的投资者可能会增持数字货币，但由于美元仍然是全球多数投资者的储备货币，所以随着美元的走强，投资者也就没有太多动机将钱存在数字货币上。这直接导致大量资金从数字货币市场撤出，同时又没有新的资金注入，使得市场交易的资金量骤减。

其次，牛市期间大量劣质项目或空壳项目借助科技外衣行圈钱之实，圈完钱就拍拍屁股走人，这也导致市场交易的资金量进一步减少。

所以，币市整体行情低迷的主要原因，是数字货币交易市场的资金流失太多造成的。而目前还处于成长初期的EOS即使再牛B也没办法逆大势而行，所以增长势头接连下挫。

当然，这波暴跌也与EOS本身相关：主网上线后没有太多好的项目成功落地，加之Block.One存在的治理空白导致EOS生态发展受阻，所以跌一波是很正常。

02 清仓or坚守？

虽然已经了解了EOS这波暴跌的主要原因，但在这个一眼看不到头的熊市，所有柚子们还是会十分煎熬，到底该割肉清仓还是加仓降低成本，他们每天对着惨淡的行情在这样的问题中挣扎，却始终得不到答案。

有人耐不住煎熬，选择了清仓走人。国外有一位投资者就在推特中表示清仓了全部数字货币，并表示投资数字货币是他一生中最大的错误。

而有人选择了信仰，他们相信“熊市”能为真正做事情的人创造了一个良好的环境，使他们能静下心来做区块链项目。

一直看好EOS的薛蛮子也在近期发声：“牛B的项目诞生于熊市。2000年互联网泡沫破灭，在互联网寒冬诞生了亚马逊等一大批牛B企业；2014年、2015年币市寒冬，诞生了以太坊这个牛B项目”。也许，2018年这次的币市寒冬，将会成就EOS这个更牛B的项目。

03 EOS基本面良好

EOS将会超越以太坊、成为一个更牛B的项目这绝不是空话。

首先是性能上。众所周知，目前以太坊的TPS无法满足大部分业务应用的要求。无论是年初的Cryptokitties事件、6月受Fcoin影响的天价Gas费，抑或是前段时间Fomo3D爆发后的拥堵，这类问题接二连三地将以太坊推上舆论的风口浪尖。

相反，EOS的TPS远超以太坊，截至发文时EOS最高TPS已经达到3972次，并且在不断尝试新的高度。

其次是技术开发方上。EOS已经有BTS和Steem做了很多的先期实验，基本不会有什么大的问题。就拿Steem来说，作为通证经济设计的先驱，完美运行了三年。

而且，BM是一个实干家，只要一有想法就会把代码敲出来实现。虽然有时候他会大开脑洞，但更多时候，他的想法以及相应的行动是切切实实地推动着EOS进步，包括前期EOS的开发、上个月提出的DRAM、最新提出的EOS资源交易所等。

最后是生态治理上。我们可以看出EOS社区整体是十分团结的。

从最初EOSUnion等多个国内节点帮助钱包资产被盗用户成功追回被盗资产，到最近EOS核心仲裁论坛冻结追回狼人游戏被黑客盗走的60000多个EOS；

04 EOS不是货币，是一个去中心化组织，其重点在于治理

EOS不是货币，而是一个快速进化的去中心化组织或是社区，这句话可不是我说的，而是block.one的CEO说的。

与比特币和以太坊相比，EOS在货币层面并没有太多的优势，它的核心优势就是玩治理，就像玩一个城邦的治理一样。在这个城邦里，有宪法、有仲裁机构、有舆论组织、有交易所、有基金会、有合约......还有一个个鲜活的公民。

这让我想起罗振宇在一次线上直播上打过的一个比喻：“得到”APP就像是一个城邦，“得到”APP的用户就是其中的公民。公民要做的就是“一个好的城邦不用到处去发移民广告，只需维护好交通基础设施、市民文化，外面的人自然会移民到你这来。”

所以我们作为EOS的持有者或者爱好者。我们要做的就是去建设、维护EOS这个城邦，不断为这个城邦的发展建言献策，保证其中所有的组织、机构、律令等都能有序运行。因为只有这样，EOS这个城邦才能持续健康发展，我们作为城邦公民才可能“安居乐业”并享受城邦发展带来的红利。

所以，这次熊市最怕的不是暴跌，而是你们对EOS失去了信心、是你们从不参与EOS治理却心心念念着EOS的红利。

EOS不是货币，是一个去中心化组织，其重点在于治理，需要所有人的参与。
