Can't EOSIO Survive Without Dan Larimer?

in #eos5 years ago (edited)

I love entrepreneurs who are creative genius and constantly keep coming with new innovative ideas to improve the existing system.

Dan Larimer has been one such genius. He has revolutionized the blockchain technology with products like Bitshares, STEEM and EOSIO. However, none of these products have had a stunning market growth or market worth but they haven't performed very badly either. Perhaps, these products were a little too futuristic for our time and market wasn't yet ready for it.

But many people keep alleging Dan that he doesn't stick with any of his projects and moves o something new after launching and working for it for some time. Probably, this public reaction compelled him to state that he won't ever leave EOSIO project.

Now this bewilders me a lot! Why would people want to limit a genius from creating something more beautiful, better and beneficial for humanity!

True, people are concerned with their own personal money and growth of their investment. But ain't EOSIO independent of Dan? Can't EOS survive and thrive if Dan leaves Block One?

The core product and its probable road map (that can be visualized to some extent) is already out and talented people and organizations are already at work to realize its true potential. So what if Dan leaves Block One at this stage? How much will the EOS chain suffer?

Yesterday, when @dan expressed a thought to create a cryptocurency (which he named MonerEOS) that could be much better than existing coins like Bitcoin; people again started raising the same fear of his leaving BlockOne.

However Dan again stated that he is NOT leaving EOSIO or B1. But it was while working on this project that he "stumbled upon a new set of tradoffs for a potential crypto token and I merely been exploring whether there is a market for those tradeoffs. This hypothetical token would be immutable, non-programmable, and limited to a currency role." [sic].

In my opinion, this is the eureka moment to celebrate and toss off a jam instead of whining about his continuous creation of new project ideas. Let's not fear or led anyone to fear what's in store of future. I welcome all new ideas with open arms!

Thank you for being here for me, so I can be here for you.
Enjoy your day and stay creative!
Botty loves you. <3

He did leave the Steem blockchain, and looks to create a competitor which could one day put streemit under......Time will tell.

No qualms ...let him do whatever he wish to! It's present Steem ecosystem's responsibility to stay competitve.

Always acting like a Bee is not always the best way even if you are a genius. You can do it under one roof and integrate them all in one golbal project.

Working like a bee can always make some honey 😉.
I understood the point you want to make though. But I am okay with creating competitive projects too. Let all teams push to their limits :)

maybe he can come back adn help out STEEMM (-:

LOL! Steem is already laying off its existing staff and has no budget for new ones ...LOL!

well I know,,, he'd have to do it for free (-: ... out of the goodness of his heart
