Because I have seen him in interviews for 30 years. I haven't watched the news in 5 years or more.
Epstein is the scapegoat. They will provide the media with all the lurid details of his perversion and steer the narrative away from a blackmail honey pot intelligence operation and towards a single depraved pedophile.
My prediction is that if they pursue Maxwell she will claim that Epstein abused her as well, she feared for her life and that she was forced to participate, etc, etc,...

I meant a scapegoat to explain the "suicide watch" issue. Yes, he is the fall guy for the ring. When I was young there was a similar case (no presidents of the US) in my home city where a group called "the family" was operating raping and killing kids.
This was the scapegoat for that case, all the lawyers, politicians and doctors never had a name revealed.
