Happy Retirement 'L-God' and Thank's for 5 years of Your Dedication for Alliance

in #esports6 years ago

A few days ago, the official Twitter account of the Alliance announced a surprise. Jonathan 'Loda' Berg officially retires as a player and moves to coach for Alliance.

Loda hisself has defended the Alliance since April 12, 2013. The owner and founder of the team also succeeded in giving the world's most prestigious Dota 2 trophy, The International, in the same year. After 5 years or more exactly 1875 days, Loda also withdrew from roster Dota 2 Alliance to become the coach of this team.

Together with s4 and AdmiralBulldog, Loda with Alliance is shining brightly in 2013 and 2014. In addition to successfully bring home the trophy TI3, the Swedish team also managed to bring home a myriad of other achievements such as :

  • 1st Winner of G-1 Champions League Season 5 (2013)
  • 1st Winner of DreamHack Summer 2013
  • 1st Winner of The International 2013
  • 1st Winner of Dota 2 Champions League Season 1 (2014)
  • 1st Winner of DreamLeague Season 1 (2014)
  • 2nd Winner JoinDOTA MLG Pro League Season 2 (2015)
  • 1st Winner of World Cyber Arena 2015
  • 1st Winner of StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 1 (2016)
  • Ranked 9-12 The International 2016
  • 3rd Winner of WESG 2016 (2017)

From the list of achievements, the Alliance did fall after being left s4 first time in 2014. They are even absent on the title terakbar Dota 2 after 2013. s4 had come back again to defend the Alliance in 2015 but apparently it was not able to lift this team to the top of glory.

The return of s4 to the second Alliance is only momentarily due in 2016, it goes to OG. AdmiralBulldog also hanged the mouse first as a professional player in 2016. However, just like Loda now, AdmiralBulldog did not leave the Alliance but changed positions in the management of the organization.

Loda is now 30 years old (born on March 19, 1988) has been a long adventure in the world martial DotA even since 2006. He even began to be nicknamed "L-God" by the DotA China community in the 2007-2008 season.

In addition to his legendary abilities, the one thing that made him unique was Loda's friendship with AdmiralBulldog and Akke. All three are still behind the Alliance since the first time the team was formed until now.

More exciting, Loda and Akke have been friends since they were in school in 2005. In his farewell note, Loda tells a lot about the Alliance which is a manifestation of his dreams and ambitions.

Besides saying many thanks including AdmiralBulldog, Akke, s4, and all his friends, as owners and coaches, Loda also announced their new roster prepared for action on the Open Qualifier TI8.

Here is the roster Alliance Dota 2 :

  • Michael ‘miCKe’ Vu
  • Maximilian ‘Qojqva’ Broecker
  • Samuel ‘Boxi’ Svahn
  • Tommy ‘Taiga’ Le
  • Aydin ‘iNSaNiA’ Sarkohi
  • Jonathan ‘Loda’ Berg (Coach)

Hopefully Loda can be more conducive in passing her experience and abilities with his current position as coach!
