Brave: A Faster and More Secure Browser based on the Chromium Engine
Soon Microsoft's Edge browser will also be released based on the Chromium engine (as of this writing it is still in development).
Google Chrome is also based on the Chromium engine
I love Google Chrome; I began to use it since the first version came out in 2008. From then on, my main internet browser is Google Chrome.
Then the era of cryptocurrency dominates the internet and in 2016 the creator of JavaScript programming language and co-founder of Mozilla, Brendan Eich, launched the first version of Brave browser.
Brave is a fast browser because it blocks ads and website trackers by default. You don't need to configure anything on the browser's settings in order for it to block ads and trackers.
Inside the Brave browser is the cryptocurrency called BAT (Basic Attention Token). The token is used to compensate brave publishers and later on as a reward for users in viewing ads in the browser.
Brave is obviously a fast browser because it is blocking ads and trackers by default. Who wouldn't want to block ads?
Most of the time, ads, such as videos and animated ads use a significant resource on your computer therefore making the entire internet browsing a little bit slower.
So, by blocking ads and trackers Brave browser achieved more speed than a regular browser that can rival Google Chrome’s speed.
