AIM AND OBJECTIVES
AIM:

This project aims at the design and construction of a surveillance security system with a pc interface using an ov76730 camera.
OBJECTIVES

The objectives of this work include;
To detect an intrusion using an ultrasonic sensor;
To control the switching of a security light upon detection of an intruder;
To take the picture images upon detection of an intrusion.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

There are a lot of surveillance system cameras in our community but crimes keep occurring, the surveillance system is visible so the criminals have upgraded in their various ways of manipulating the surveillance camera causing them not to be detected or captured. Most cameras are very expensive, costs up to thousands of dollars depending on the features and monitoring systems you buy, getting them installed and their maintenance means added costs.
They can be vulnerable, tech-savvy criminals might have understood the technology and worked out ways to disable/disconnect them from their power source. Haunts the privacy at times, there are certain places where people need to have some privacy, be it the changing rooms or workplace.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This surveillance security system designed as a hidden surveillance system; it is not visible and will surely be hard for the criminals, not having knowledge of where it is placed and the type of camera specification. There are many advantages of this surveillance system being a hidden camera, it can be used in workplaces and your employees not knowing they are being watched by a surveillance system. This surveillance camera is very affordable and also cheap with good quality. This surveillance system is monitored in the control unit by the security personnel or law enforcement to be able to alert the police as an event is in the progress.
