Hemodialysis Installation of Teungku Chik Ditiro Sigli Hospital
According to Wikipedia Hemodialysis originates from "hemo" which means blood and "dialysis" which means the separation of solutes. So, hemodialysis is the process of cleansing the blood of waste substances (such as urea, creatinine and water free of blood) through a process of screening outside the body. Hemodialysis is done in patients with kidney failure, because the kidneys are no longer functioning, then it needs a device to replace kidney function, this tool is a dialysis machine.
Hemodialysis installation at Teungku Chik Ditiro Sigli Hospital was first established in 2012 with 5 hemodialysis machines. Then a renovation and expansion of the building a year ago so now has 25 units of hemodialysis machines equipped with patient beds. On average daily Hemodialysis Installation serves 50 patients who need hemodialysis services. Patients who get services at this Hemodialysis Installation are patients who are scheduled and they need hemodialysis once a week or twice a week. These patients were from Pidie and Pidie Jaya. With the majority being over 50 years of age.
Services at the Hemodialysis Installation are open every day starting at 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. If there is an emergency patient who needs hemodialysis services, the service will be given at 6:00 p.m. Now Hemodialysis Installation has 36 employees, namely; 30 nurses, 2 administrative staff, 2 doctors and 1 person in charge and 1 consultant.
