Ginabot roles on the blockchain
So while on discord yesterday, I realised that not everyone knows about the functions and services ginabot renders to the steem blockchain..i wasn't amused because not all steemians know the existence of gina and this was what prompt me into writing this.
Ginabot bot renders so many services to steemians, it makes tracking of your favourite witness and your noble steemians easy, you can know when someone up vote you, when you are being tagged and also when you received a delegation or when you delegated, so many things in which I would be picking on one by one..
The first step in using Gina bot is to
- Join minnow-power discord server
- Type ..reg Steemit username e.g ..reg burlarj
You will be guided by the bot and once your registration is completed - Type ..set, you will get a reply that ginabot sent you a dm with a link to settings for your Steemit user.
There are so many things you can activate in the settings...
You can set up notifications on the following..
follow and unfollow: To know the steemians who followed and unfollowed
Delegations : To know when steemians delegates steempower to you or when you delegated to someone
Resteems : To know when your post is being resteemed
Transfers : To know when you received sbd or steem and when someone send you steem or sbd
New comment : To know when someone makes a comment on your post
Curation and Author rewards: To know when your rewards arrive, if you are the type that vote frequently, it will be advisable to set the citation notifications to weekly
New post by your favourite Author: you can get to know immediately they released a post, by adding them to the notification
witness - you can also get to know when they vote for your favourite witness like @neoxian @timcliff @surpassingoogle @someguy123
Tags: you can also get notifications based on when they tag your favourite steemians or yourself....
I guess this helps the newbies a little...
