Scenes Seen from the Bus Kuala Lumpur Malaysia to Singapore

My recent bus trips to and from Singapore were very smooth and fun. Now I have all these photos on the phone, and have decided to post them here for my son @bxlphabet to see. He expressed an interest in this trip so I hope he will see and like what I post.

First off is a random colorful truck with South African fruit passing by my bus on the highway at the start of the trip.

We are only about 15 minutes into it at this point and I have about 8 hours to go until I will see the bed I will sleep in for the night.

Even though we sadly do not have the @juliank photo contests at steemit anymore, I still take photos with them in mind. After taking these shots for over a year, this habit is hard to break.

My fruit truck photo would have gone into the colourful photography contest, but now it is in the first position of this post just to make a nice thumbnail.

Here is the same truck with a nice sky. We are both pulling away from a toll booth. We are going so slow it seems like we are stopped.

Here you see a worker washing vehicle wheels while we are at a gas station.

Yes, buses in SE Asia gas up while the passengers are aboard. This is very strange to me and happens frequently when I ride buses here. I don't normally see a wheel washer though. I've actually never seen a wheel washer at a gas station in my entire life before this point.

Here he is dragging the hose to the next vehicle. He was only washing wheels. No other parts of the vehicles were cleaned. I don't know who is paying for this service or why it is provided.

You see part of my food haul from the inexpensive vendors at the entrance to the Wangsa Maju MRT Station, back near where I live. I got a lot of food as I passed by there a few hours ago. I know what the food is and how much it costs, so it is easier for me the get something (sort of) familiar for any trip.

I subsequently bought almost no food during the rest of my three day voyage out and back in to Malaysia.

I got two of the little sandwiches and two of the little pandan pies for 2 myr, which is 50 cents usd total. The sandwhich has a cucumber slice sticking out and whatever else is in there is hot enough to blow your head off. That item size is about two bites.

Pandan gets me to buy it by the lovely color, but as always with any pandan flavored thing, this is bland as bland can be. The pies were also quite gummy and I really had to chew! I guess they were a good contast to the nuclear sandwich.

My small snack was very satisfying! I had not eaten anything up until this point in the day. I do not want to eat when I do not know if I will get on my transport. Food is the last thing on my mind until I am where I need to be.

We are now up at the pumps for a good long time. Right outside my window was this motorcycle rider in line to gas up for himself.

Busted!

We were at the gas pumps for about 15 minutes, so I had plenty of time to photograph this interesting piece of machinary across the highway.

I have no idea what it is.

No view of it helps me to know what I'm looking at and it was not working at the time.

But this thing was right next to it, digging dirt like crazy.

I do not know what this is either, but it was on the side of the highway right after we pulled out with full tanks.

And here are three bananas I got for 1 myr - 25 cents usd. These were sold at the first rest stop we got to and even though I do not like bananas, I knew I should get them for my health. They were an excellent buy and I ate one a day.

I am back on the bus, and the bananas are on my lap to be photographed. The patterned fabric you see is a dress I got in Udan Thani Thailand for 100 thb. This dress was $3 usd, and my only regret is that I did not get more of them. It is stretchy, fits good, is easy to wash and quick to dry, and does not show stains. I want nothing more in my clothes.

And quick as a flash (not really) here we are looking at a sign to find the next bus in Singapore right before I got lost and headed back into the Immigration Security Sector. Two nice officers escorted me out even though they could not believe this little old lady got back in there again. I had to show them where I came in and they still could not believe it.

Mom. Can you take a picture of a street or something? You've been in SE Asia for three years and I've hardly ever seen a normal photo of what's around you.

@bxlphabet is MIA right now. He has lost his home and most possessions. I'm not sure where he is, and I am praying for his safety now. Maybe he will see these travel pics, and they will help lift his spirits if nothing else.
