The hallaca is one of the typical Christmas dishes, you can eat all year round but the time when is most prepared is in December.
To prepare the filling of the hallacas chicken, beef and meat are used. And it is seasoned with paprika, onion, sweet pepper, garlic, leek, English sauce and potato.
To make the hallaca the banana leaf is used and the corn dough is placed in it and the meat is added and in this the grapes and olives are placed.
For many years my mom has made hallacas to sell at Christmas time.
