Freewrite Day 690 Screeching Tires

I sometimes hear screeching tires from my room while working here in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. They are coming from the parking garage of the tower building nearest me. They first 5 floors of the tower are all parking spots for the people who live there. It sounds like someone is running a race in the garage, but they are not.

I noticed this immediately upon moving here and was surprised. Malaysians as a class are rule-followers and I did not think they would be going into that garage to all of the sudden to speed like maniacs.

Now that I have been here longer and been able to observe cars over there, it turns out they are driving slowly and safely when the screeching noise happens. It’s something about the paint on the floor and the state of the tire treads.

Only some cars screech while making the turns and others do not make noise. All of them are driving slowly, and so it is not the drivers fault.

I don’t even hear it anymore, but now I probably will for a while after writing for this prompt.

My post is for the #freewrite daily challenge by @mariannewest. Freewrite is a great way to post on STEEM when you do not think you have the time, or talent, or anything to say. It’s a great way to start regular posting, and I know you can do this too! Here is Marianne’s freewrite prompt post for today. Give it a try and surprise yourself.

If the drivers are driving slowly what could then be the reason for the noise, do you think it could be the road or tyre?
The picture of your transformation, is really great and mind blowing.
