Mountain Monday Looks Off a Kuala Lumpur Balcony
I have been posting skies from my Bangkok Balcony where there were no mountains. This essay is all from the first balcony I had in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, where mountains surrounded me.
I am living at the northwest edge of the city and the area to the northwest of that is barely developed. If only I had a nice camera! All of these shots are from a cell phone I had at the time.
A storm is coming. We get one most days here. Usually the skies go crazy each afternoon for a couple of hours and then all returns to peace.
This is at dawn and you can see the same type of low clouds I have seen so often in Malaysia. Is it moisture condensing from the jungle forests? I do not know, but I am glad it is not smoke. I think it might by too wet to burn here anyway.
More dawn clouds, this time looking like a volcano.
That outcropping in the middle has a sheer face, but you will just have to believe me!
Another quiet dawn with low clouds.
And this is bad air we had for a few days last fall. Everyone was masked up!

How interesting to get a storm every day... I've heard of this but never experienced it. I enjoy your photos with clouds in the mountains. I must say the days when you had bad air do look pretty bad. Is that just straight pollution or is it caused by fires or volcanoes or something else? Thanks for using the #mountainmonday tag! Voted and resteemed :-)
I'm not sure what was happening to cause the smog. Maybe fires - not a volcano. It was only a few days though. The air has been pretty good here, especially compared to Bangkok. Thank you for all your support, @keithboone. I love doing this one and I do have mountains :)
Howdy fitinfun! haha, Keith is a real photographer with a real camera, the rest of us just wish! lol. Hey these were pretty good though. That smog looked horrible!
I know! He puts us all to shame. I'm glad to have good air these days. We get a storm to clear the air and cool things off each day.

Well, this is a tropical climate and it just rains every day. I think the rain came before the pollution. (STOP Voting!!!!)
haha! I just ran out of leased sp today and dropped down to 47%! so I gotta get some more.
But anyway, no wonder it's so dang humid there!
