Just announced...

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) which became famous for coming out with Bitcoin futures in December 2017 (and then BTC went into the bear market), has now said they will no longer have a Bitcoin futures contract for March and going forward. There are still some existing contracts that do not expire until June 2019. Those will play out.

We must also share that it IS EXPECTED that the new exchange “BAKKT” (owned by NYSE) should be live in several months and DOES have a BTC Futures Contract.

HOWEVER, there is a “big difference” between the CBOE and Bakkt BTC futures offer.

The Bakkt BTC contract settles in “physical Bitcoin” while the CBOE contract settles in “cash”.

So what does this mean?

Not enough information to really know for sure and perhaps we will never know.
Just like not knowing how the Silver Market has been “rigged” and constantly beat down with Options.

What are futures contracts in BTC or other commodities? They are “bets” that a commodity will go one direction or another.
There is “mega leverage” in these contracts. So the people that shorted Bitcoin each month for the past 15 months have been making “monster money”

Maybe we’ll will hear some skinny from somebody.
