Fantastic World Run Records

in #esteem6 years ago (edited)

Many people think that world records run only about the fastest runners - but that's not always true. Here are 10 world records in running sport that will surprise you and want to re-wear long running shoes in the closet.

  1. 607 times participate marathon in a row
Ricardo Abad Martinez is the man who holds this amazing record. Marathon is believed to require extensive physical and psychological preparation, which means plenty of time for practice. Ricardo shed the confidence by running 607 marathons in a row within 500 days while still working 8 hours per day at the factory.

  2. Longest distance runner
Fauja Singh, also known as Turban Tornado, achieved this title at the age of 100 years. He started professionally in marathon when he was 89 years old. When he was 101 years old, Singh followed his last race in Hong Kong. In his running career, Singh completed a total of 9 races in New York, Toronto, and London.

  3. The longest running distance in the world
The Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race with a route length of about 4,989 km gives this title. Madhupran Wolfgang Schwerk completed the race in 41 days, 8 hours, 16 minutes and 29 seconds. Interestingly, Schwerk decided to continue to run just to fulfill the distance of up to 5,000 km.

  4. The best ladder runner
As if running on the street is not challenging enough, Cristian Riedll followed the staircase race and won the world record for 13,145 meters of stairs. Within 12 hours, Riedll ran up the stairs of Frankfurt's Tower 185, and then boarded the elevator to go down 71 times.

  5. Run on the longest string with the highest altitude
Freddy Nock is probably the only one who is brave enough for this kind of record run. Rather than admire the view of Zugspitze, Germany's tallest mountain, he decided to run on the rope of a cable car wire he had previously climbed into to reach the summit. And he also does not need a balance stick.

  6. Four desert runners
Not just one, but the four extreme wilderness: Atacama, Gobi, Sahara, and Antarctica. Ryan Sandes was the first to conquer this almost impossible race. The only two other tough runners to follow in Sandes's move are Germany's Anne-Marie Flammersfeld and Vicente Garcia Beneito of Spain.

  7. Running record farthest nyeker

While most runners cling to great running equipment, Wayne Botha does not even need running shoes to break this one running record. Still quite difficult to imagine how he could run 211 miles with barefoot aka nyeker in just 24 hours. No one can ever do it.

  1. World's fastest run back record
Who said we should run forward? Xu Zhenjun did not agree with the normal running direction. He decided that Beijing International Marathon should be completed by running backwards. And maybe he was right, because with this backward style, Xu completed this race in 3:43 hours, while most other conventional runners finished in 4 hours.

  2. The longest route in 24 hours
This is a unique marathon form. Runners are given 24 hours to run as far as they can. The latest world record for male runners is 303,506 km by Yiannis Kouros, for women runners is 252,205 km by Mami Kudo.

  3. The most unique and unique running costume
Yes, you read it wrong. Running clothes can sometimes be quite tall and heavy. Blackpool Towel's 7.3 meters tall, weighing 17.5 kg, led David Lawrenson to win his world record for this race, though it had to crawl over the finish line.

Hopefully the best worldwide run record can cultivate a little motivation in you to start running, keeping in mind that all record holders start slowly but surely.
