Coldplay Band
Coldplay is an alternative rock band formed in London, United Kingdom, in 1996. The band consists of Chris Martin as lead vocalist, Jonny Buckland as lead guitarist, Guy Berryman as bassist, and Will Champions as drummer. Coldplay's alternative rock style has been compared to Radiohead and Oasis. Chris Martin once proclaimed the band's music as "limestone rock" compared to "hard rock".
In Viva la Vida or Death And All His Friends, the group's style moves toward art rock, and experiments with a variety of different instruments including orchestra, pianohonky-tonk and others.
