• Gola

• Loton

কবুতর

কবুতর দেখতে যেমন অনেক সুন্দর ঠিক তেমনি আমাদের এই ধরনিতে আছে এর কয়েকটা প্রজাতি। কবুতর বা পারাবত এক প্রকারের জনপ্রিয় গৃহপালিত পাখি। এর মাংস মনুষ্যখাদ্য হিসাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

যারা কবুতরকে ভালোবাসেন ও কবুতর সম্পর্কে জানতে ইচ্ছুক তারা অবশ্যই আর্টিকেলটি পড়বেন।

কবুতর জাত পরিচিতিঃ

বহুবিচিত্র ধরনের নানা জাতের কবুতর রয়েছে। আমাদের দেশে ২০টিরও অধিক জাতের কবুতর আছে বলে জানা যায় -

• গোলা
এই জাতের কবুতরের উৎপত্তিস্থল পাক-ভারত উপমহাদেশ। আমাদের দেশে এ জাতের কবুতর প্রচুর দেখা যায় এবং মাংসের জন্য এটার যথেষ্ট জনপ্রিয়তা রয়েছে। ঘরের আশেপাশে খোপ নির্মাণ করলে এরা আপনাআপনি এখানে এসে বসবাস করে। এদের বর্ণ বিভিন্ন সেডযুক্ত ধূসর এবং বারড-ব্লু রংয়ের। এদের চোখের আইরিস গাঢ় লাল বর্ণের এবং পায়ের রং লাল বর্ণের হয়।

• লোটান
লোটন কবুতরকে রোলিং (rolling) কবুতরও বলা হয়। গিরিবাজ কবুতর যেমন শূন্যের উপর ডিগবাজী খায়, তেমন লোটন কবুতর মাটির উপর ডিগবাজী খায়। সাদা বর্ণের এই কবুতরের ঘুরানো ঝুঁটি রয়েছে। এদের চোখ গাঢ় পিঙ্গল বর্ণের এবং পা লোমযুক্ত।

• গোলী
গোলা জাতের কবুতর থেকে গোলী জাতের কবুতর ভিন্ন প্রকৃতির। এ জাতের কবুতর পাকিস্তানের লাহোর ও ভারতের কলকাতায় বেশ জনপ্রিয় ছিল। এদের লেজের নীচে পাখার পালক থাকে। ঠোঁট ছোট হয় এবং পায়ে লোম থাকে না। এদের বর্ণ সাদার মধ্যে বিভিন্ন ছোপযুক্ত।

• টাম্বলার
এসব জাতের কবুতর আকাশে ডিগবাজী খায় বলে এদের টাম্বলার বলে। আমাদের দশে এই জাতটি গিরিবাজ নামে পরিচিত। এদের উৎপত্তিস্থল পাক-ভারত উপমহাদেশ। মনোরঞ্জনের জন্য আমাদের দেশে এদের যথেষ্ট কদর রয়েছে।

• লাহোরী
আমাদের দেশে এই কবুতরটি শিরাজী কবুতর হিসেবে পরিচিত। এদের উৎপত্তিস্থল লাহোর। এদের চোখের চারদিক থেকে শুরু করে গলার সম্মুখভাগ, বুক, পেট, নিতম্ব, পা ও লেজের পালক সম্পূর্ণ সাদা হয় এবং মাথা থেকে শুরু করে গলার পিছন দিক এবং পাখা রঙ্গীন হয়। সাধারণত কালো, লাল, হলুদ, নীল ও রূপালী ইত্যাদি বর্ণের কবুতর দেখা যায়।

• কিং
কিং জাতের কবুতরের মধ্যে হোয়াইট কিং এবং সিলভার কিং আমেরিকাসহ ইউরোপের অন্যান্য দেশগুলিতে বিশেষ জনপ্রিয়তা লাভ করেছে। কিং জাতের কবুতর প্রদর্শনী এবং স্কোয়াব (ঝয়ঁধন বাচ্চা) উৎপাদনে ব্যবহার হয়। এছাড়াও রয়েছে ব্লু রেড এবং ইয়েলো কিং। এই জাতের কবুতর মূলত প্রদর্শনীতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• মুকি
এ জাতের কবুতরের গলা রাজহাঁসের মত পিছন দিকে বাঁকানো এবং কম্পমান অবস্থায় থাকে। মুকি জাতের কবুতরের উৎপত্তি ভারতে বলে ধারণা করা হয়। এদের উভয় ডানার তিনটি উড়বার উপযোগী পালক সাদা হয় যা অন্য কোনো কবুতরে দেখা যায় না। এ জাতের কবুতরের মাথা সাদা, বুক খুব একটা চওড়া নয় তবে উঁচু ও বেশ কিছুটা সামনের দিকে বাড়ানো থাকে। সাদা, কালো এবং নীল বর্ণের এই কবুতরের পায়ে লোম থাকে না।
