Hello, here again, we continue our review of your favourite cannabis strains in our long lasting cannapedia series, and last time we discussed an indica dominant strain, the Afghan kush which came just after we reviewed a sativa dominant strain, the sour Diesel, while the sour Diesel gives the high energy effect of sativa, the Afghan kush brings in the calming effects of the indica, you would choose them for different purposes and different mood and time of the day.

Today we review a hybrid of Indica and sativa, and if you took too much of the Afghan kush, you’ll surely need a HEADBAND! Which fortunately is our spotlight cannabis strain of today. The headband is a slightly indica dominant hybrid of OG kush and our previously reviewed Sour Diesel (you can head back to read up on this), with 55% indica and 45% sativa, you will surely experience a mixed feeling..

The headband is believed to be developed by the Reserva privada cannabis firm in Colorado, however other sources holds information which are a bit different from this…

On the texture and appearance of the Headband cannabis strain..

Headband flowers are covered in silvery-white trichomes and are sticky to the touch -- this is one strain that proves difficult to breakup for joints or pipes without using a grinder. The initial smell of the cured flowers is tangy and lemony. Underneath these dominant scents is a faint skunkiness, along with some notes of pine.

The headband gives you a feeling or a bandage around your head as the Tetrahydrocannabinol content of the smoked weed dilates the blood vessels of the face and piles pressure on this part of the body, you’d start to feel a tie around your head, hence the name.

With a combined indica and sativa, one would expect a rapid flush of energy and subsequent calm feelings, but there is a deviation as many have reported not to feel the impact of the weed until about twenty minutes after consumption, though the onset and mode of action is much similar to other hybrid strains, however the indica effects still comes out on top with its thick smoke and sweet taste added to its high THC content.
The headband serves the purpose of indica and sativa strains, though not as specific and active as the concentrated strains..
