Hello everyone, today I'll be sharing a few tips on how to grow as a minnow on Steemit a few of what I will be sharing with your are things I learnt from steem school and some I had to figure out myself on my short stay here. Most of which are nor a determining factor to your success here but will go a long way into making it an enjoyable one.

1. After Signing up Read Your welcome message

Just like when you buy a new mobile phone, any new electronic comes with a manual its more mandatory than necessary just like a few people like myself do not see the importance of going through a manual especially not a phone manual because I feel I know how to basically operate a phone. This is a wrong ideology the reason for the welcome message on Steemit is to inform you on some basics on how to use the platform and also instruct you on some doos and don't in using it. So if you haven't read your yet go do so now you'll find it rewarding.

2. Invest in Your Introductory post

One of the doos you learn from reading the welcome message after approval is the introductory post most people do not see the need to do it which is their decision to make but as a minnow your introductory post is necessary in informing people about your presence and if really good it boosts your reputation and also encourages you. By making an introductory post it help the "welcoming" committee see you and also follow, reblog and advice you to the platform this goes a long way in encouraging you. Sometimes I like to go to the introductory tag and welcome new steemians to the platform also help upvote them too. So introduce yourself.

3. Be Real

Just like most people can always tell if someone is fake so also here on Steemit when ones intentions are not pure it has a way of showing. Your motivation has to be right. Not just about making money, make sure you have genuine interest in what you comment on and on what you post not because the topic is trending or it's a catchy one means it will be a rewarding one for you.

4, create a Nitche

After my second week here on Steemit I knew I wasn't doing something right because I wasn't getting the kind of response I expected. I hurried to steem school and luckily I spoke with a Philippine lecturer who told me this.

there are several interests here on Steemit, some are photographers interested in photography, others are musicians who's some interests are in music. Others are interested in nature, adventure, crypto, technology, health and a whole lot of others. Find what interests you and what you enjoy talking about. Write about it, support others who do and engage. Over time you become known in that field and you will already be growing a large number of followership.

5. Comment and engage

As a minnow looking at growing here on Steemit it is advised you make a minimum of 15 comments daily. By engaging you stand a chance of getting upvoted and also making friends and loyal fan along the way. It is also advised to be sincere in Your comments, do not comment because you want to be upvoted, comment because you have genuine interest in the topic. Insincerity has a way of showing in your words take note.

6. Take part in Contest

This is not necessary but advisable. If you look forward to learning and earning here on steemit you need to take part in contest that interests you. Use the contest tag and search from the variety of contests options available.

Conclusion

Rome was not built in a day, it takes time and hardwork to create an impact. The most interesting thing I've learnt here on Steemit is the fact that

you never stop learning as you grow

Be open to new ideas, support others, learn, ask questions and enjoy yourself as you do.
