Wednesday Walk:Walking along Wireless road to do some shopping, เดินเล่นที่ถนนวิทยุเพื่อไปช็อปปิ้ง
This is my entry for ###wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay. Last weekend I went for a walk along Wireless road. I got off the bus at the corner of the road where there are modern skyscrapers.
This road was constructed in 1920 and it’s name was given by King Rama VI. The road passed by the first radio station in Siam, hence the name Wireless road. Nowadays, there are 22 embassies and counsels along this road. The most expensive and luxurious condominiums can be found here too.
Traffic jam during rush hours is a routine feature in this road. But the old trees along this road help to calm the mood of drivers.
There is a big Indian god shrine at the entrance of a big hotel called Plaza Athenee. This hotel has a coffee shop near the entrance and there is a big reduction of bakery and cakes in the evening.
(This Beta eSteem app is giving me problems, something illogical in the software. I will be updating this post. I just have to post this before it disappears again!)
Is there always that much traffic?

Traffic jams three times daily. After breakfast, during lunch hour and after work when people are rushing home.

Wireless Road sounds also like a good name for a street with so many embassies and councels .. But I have to admit that this fits perfectly to the radio station ..
I also really like that picture of the old god shrkne in front of the glassy skyscraper ..
I can see a lot of symbiotic contrast in this post of yours ^^
Bangkok is full of contradictions! It can be quite confusing at times!

Thank you! Hope there wouldn’t be any earthquakes in nearby areas in the future!!
