150,000 Muslims in Birmingham will Shared Ied Together

Soon the world's Muslim societies are ready to celebrate Idul Fitri 1439 H. There will be plenty of preparation in various countries, including in Birmingham preparing for the biggest Eid celebrations in Europe and taking place at Small Heath Park.

About 150,000 people will come for Salat Ied in the park. They come not only from Birmingham but from all over the UK and even from other countries to enjoy the great celebration.

In addition to Salat Ied will also be held there night market. There are two play areas and there is a special zone for food. There are six entry points or exits to the park, three information points and five toilet points.

On that day, Waverley Road and Tennyson Road, the road around the park, turned into one direction. Since 2011, this celebration has become a growing number of enthusiasts, by 2017 the number of attendees at this celebration is around 106,000.

Festival as well as worship Solat Ied implemented by Green Lane Mosque & Community Center (GLMCC). GLMCC also works with several mosques in Birmingham, Birmingham City Council and West Midlands Police to unite communities and Muslims.

"We are delighted to present Eid celebrations at Small Heath Park," one of the organizers was quoted as saying by the Birmingham Mail on Thursday (14/6).

"Bringing together nearly 150,000 people to pray and Salat Ied is a monumental achievement for mosques and city Muslim communities," he added.

Just like in Indonesia, Muslim Salat Ied then present to the festival and take pictures. As in previous years, not only the Muslims who participated in the celebration and deliberately came, but for those who are non-Muslims also come to see the festival.
