I am very concerned about this incident

A few days ago we were shocked by the death of someone who worked as a medical volunteer in the Gaza Strip, Palestine. Razan Al-Najar was shot while trying to help a wounded demonstrator in Khan Younes on Friday evening June 1, 2018. It became a sorrow for all Indonesians and even the Islamic world about the incident.

An eyewitness said, initially the 21-year-old volunteer came with a white uniform that indicated he was a medical officer.

"He (Najar) has raised his hand so that it can be seen by Israeli troops, but they still shoot him," said the eyewitness.

Najar became the 119th victim of Palestinian death in a demonstration that occurred since Wednesday (30/05/2018) in the Gaza Strip.

Whereas pursuant to Article 24 of the Convention specifically mentions "paramedics conducting the search, collection, or treatment of wounds shall be accorded special protection". But this is what happened in the Gaza Strip.

Thousands of Palestinians then attended the funeral ceremony of the dead nurse. An ambulance and medical crew came to the funeral. His father had a blood-stained medical suit worn by his son when he was shot, while the mourners in attendance demanded revenge.

UN officials on Saturday condemned the killing of medical volunteers on the Gaza border, saying that witness reports indicated he was wearing clothes that clearly identified him as a medical officer.

"The killing of medical staff who were clearly identified by security forces during the demonstrations was highly reprehensible," said Jamie McGoldrick, UN Humanitarian Coordinator, as reported by the Times of Israel.

While responding to Razan al-Najjar's shooting, UN envoy to the Middle East, Nikolay Mladenov, wrote in Saturday 2 June, that "medical workers #NotATarget!" And "Israel needs to reduce its use of force and Hamas needs to prevent incidents on the Gaza border fence."

I myself am sorry for this incident. Hopefully no more things like this will happen
