Across the bridge - Poem

Rumors of the land across,
Tempted even the saintly,
A magical city,
Of light and peace.

Days of days,
Trickled by silently,
As day turned into night,
Swallowing the moment of peace.

Those particles of lies,
Floated always in a circle,
Never knowing when it would,
Lead a way to trap it in.

The keys to the city,
Lay with the ones out of sight,
Never knowing who,
People were constantly in search,

For it,
To find it,
To be rewarded.

Life was promised,
Maybe it was never meant to be,
They would,
They did stumble on that sooner.
