The candle burns away,
In the corner of the mind,
Flaring the pitch-black winter night,
Solace kept away for rest.
The flames caressed the flesh,
Burning the sins away,
Turning crimson red,
Was the once pale blue lips.
Tears of sorrow trickle,
A slow death to the end,
To hold it down over the palm,
A pool to drink from.
