When it comes to tourism Nigeria is one country to reckon with, with lots of amazing and attractive sites to behold ranging from old archeological sites to historical monuments,

but sadly when Nigeria is mentioned tourism hardly comes to mind, many people prefer to travel to other countries for tourism and holidays leaving Nigeria out with clams that Nigeria lack tourist center well this could be nothing far from the truth though.

It will interest you to know that Nigeria as a country possess beautiful landscapes and adventurous sites all begging to be discovered and explored most especially it richness is cultural diversity which serves as second to none one only needs to open our eyes to see the beauty within and explore lots of places which is surely inexhaustible.

In this post am going to try and bring you some of the amazing destinations in Nigeria so that when next you planning your vacation itinerary you will have a whole lots of options to choose,

Kajuru castle is a luxury villa like castle located in the northern part of Nigeria, kajuru kaduna state. This monument was erected within the year 1981-1989 with the early medieval architectural style with the building composing of metre thick granite stones as one of its major components; this approximately took about 5 years to completion by the German expatriate.

The gorgeous architectural masterpiece is set up elevated peak with incredible views styled in European and German way with baronial hall complete with suits of armor.

The castle which was initially built as a private resident and later open as a tourist attraction as a result of its architectural splendor can only accommodate 12 individuals or 5 couples at a time
The castle comprise of a live crocodile and a gorgeous peacock which are known to always move around the environment, it also has rooms spread across the castles, three floors which feature four dungeon room, a center building with knight hall and a master’s bedroom felted with air conditioners and all room appliances in case you desire a lodge.

Tourist can either choose to bring or plan for their males or ask the management to make an arrangement with food service who will make deliveries at an additional cost however guest who also prefer to use the castle kitchen are free to do so.

All entries are done within the hours of 10am check in time and 12pm check out times as tourist are present id card as one of the major requirement for entrance, no pets are allowed into the castle, while is free to children as long as they remain with their parents adult are however require to pay.

the idanre hills remain one of the rare places where beauty, mystery and majesty speaks with the voice of silence.

The idanre hills remains one of the wonders of nature and a marvelous tourist centers in the country, it takes about six hundred and sixty seven (667) steps to reach the highest peak of the hill top, this hill is estimated to be about 800 years old the idanre hill is located In the ancient town of idanre about 24 kilometers southwest of akure ondo state capital,

the ancient town is at the hill top with the new settlement is at the base of the hills historical events reviewed that the peaceful people of idanre at some point used to settle at the high of the hills before western civilization sets in.

The idanre settlers had their first primary school in the 1980’s which was built by some team of missionaries lead by Rev, Gilbert carter, erected a clay building which still stands strong to this date also a law court was established as well which include an ancient prison.

Other artifacts includes shrines, beltry, agbooogun, footprints, thunder water (omi Aopara) old and dilapidated mud buildings roofed in rust brown lron sheets, sets on well laid out streets and burial mounds and grounds and the owa’s palace, all available for tourist to see on arrival.

Another amazing aspect of the hill is the unreadable letters believed to be mysterious handwriting etched on the rock which no one has been able to decipher the meaning since it was discovered till date, also at the hill top is a river know as Arun river believed to have natural power of healing all kinds of ailments thus making it one of the most visited spots on the hill top.
