Reason For The Recent Warming

Part of the world is currently experiencing what is term global warming and this is not the first time we are experiencing that but the rate at which the heat is coming this time will make you think if truly the ozone layer is still existing. The ozone layer is a layer in the outermost surface of the earth that act as a canopy which prevents harmful ultraviolet ray from getting into the biosphere where we found ourselves. There is no doubt that most of the countries that lies within the tropics are countries been affected with heat and this is not farfetched from the fact that the sun is always inclined at an angle that exposes this regions of the world to direct sunlight, in fact, there are some periods when the sun is overhead directly at angle 90°.

There are many reasons why the recent warming is coming so high like we used to experienced before and one of the reasons is the fact that most of the countries that lies within the latitude, that is the cold region are countries that engages in industrial work which releases some harmful carbon into the atmosphere but the fact that these countries are highly industrialized, it is the countries in the tropics that suffered for their industrial activities because countries in the tropics engages more in agricultural activities rather than industrial activities and by doing so,lots of trees that would have absorbed most of the carbon being released to the environment are being cut down which later leads to abundant of C02 in our environment.

Most of the trees that should have served as canopy in preventing the direct ray of sunlight and to absorb the carbon dioxide in our environment are no more there due to our high involvement in agricultural activities and instead of replacing these trees with another one, all we care about cutting down all in the name of money and most of the rain forest is no more in it natural state, in fact, most of the rain forest can not be regarded as Savannah due to the dominance of grasses. Using Nigeria as a case study here, the country is divided into various belt ranging from the rainforest belt to the sahel in the extreme north, but due to lumbering activities that always occur in the southern part of the country where the rainforest lies, the region is not experiencing intense heat.
