Loropetalum Chineses
Loropetalum adalah genus dari tiga spesies semak atau pohon kecil di keluarga penyihir-hazel , Hamamelidaceae , asli Cina , Jepang , dan Asia Tenggara.
Nama Loropetalum mengacu pada bentuk bunga dan berasal dari bahasa Yunani loron yang berarti tali dan petalon yang berarti kelopak. Bunga diproduksi dalam kelompok selama musim semi dan mirip dengan bunga witch-hazel . Setiap bunga terdiri dari empat hingga enam (tergantung pada spesies) tali ramping berbentuk kelopak sepanjang 1-2 cm.
Loropetalum chinense - varietas berbunga putih hingga 3,7 m, berbunga merah muda hingga tinggi 1,5 m
Loropetalum lanceum - tumbuh hingga 13 m, bunga putih
Loropetalum subcordatum - tumbuh hingga setinggi 12 m
