Today we will learn to make a beautiful, easy and simple piggy bank, so I invite you to enjoy this proposal where the little ones can go, little by little, developing ingenuity and approaching the artistic work accompanied by their class teachers and parents.

Save in a funny way by creating this pink pig to save your money. This easy-to-make technique allows all kinds of decorative and utilitarian objects to be made, using periodic or recyclable paper, which is easy to obtain and very economical. Have fun while doing your homework!

PIGGY BANK

Materials:

• Starch.
• Water.
• Balloon.
• Brushes.
• Newspaper or recyclable paper.
• Scotch tape.
• Rule.
• Vinyl glue.
• Water-based paints, non-toxic.
• Cardboard in the form of a cylinder. (Rolls of toilet paper).
• The small sheet of cardboard.
• Two trays of expanded polystyrene or Telgopor.
• Scissors and/or cut (cutter).
• Hot silicone applicator.

Process

Step 1. Fill one of the trays with water and mix with starch. Cut strips of paper with your hand and immerse them there for a few seconds.

Step 2. Inflate the balloon, tie it and place it in the other tray of Telgopor. Cover it with vinyl glue and apply several layers of paper on the entire surface of the balloon, letting it dry between each layer.

Step 3. Click on the balloon with a pin and remove it from the opening shown above.

Step 4. Cut the toilet paper cartons to make the legs. Cut them lightly at an angle that fits perfectly in the belly of the pig.

Step 5. Cut another cardboard to make the snout. Put it on a piece of cardboard and cut out the silhouette of the lower end.

Step 6. Glue the snout and legs to the body of the piglet.

Step 7. Cut two slots in the head of the piglet and place two triangles of cardboard to form the ears.

Step 8. Apply strips of extra paper to the snout, legs, and ears. Let them dry.

Step 9. Paint the entire surface of the pig, with the colors you choose. Let your creativity fly!

Piggy Bank

Being creative in the classroom helps children find different solutions to the same problem. All children and young people like to do manual work, especially when other family members or teachers participate in their creations. With this fun series of steps, children (accompanied and guided by their elders) will learn to develop their skills and thoughts and, in turn, take advantage of this useful and beautiful piggy bank. In addition, they will be taught to work in an organized manner, which will allow them to expand their technique of concentration and observation to help them understand their environment.
