📷 Celebration Maslenitsa - 2

Hello, my dearest friends! Maslenitsa for many has become one of the most fun and probably the most long-awaited holidays of the year, and even it lasts a week.

Yesterday in our region were seeing off the winter and burned stuffed Maslenitsa, everywhere people had fun, danced, walked and sang songs!

Many took part in interesting master classes on making pancakes.

From this tower the host as could create the atmosphere of a holiday.

Wishing tasted fresh Mead and tasted aromatic drink with herbs, nastoenie honey.

People were photographed at various stands.

I was also impressed by this pair competing on sticks.

In ancient times, our ancestors worshipped the sun as a deity. With the onset of the first spring days baked round cakes, which are shaped like the sun.

It was believed that eating such a dish, a person will get a piece of sunlight and heat, and eventually they began to replace pancakes.

On the square set even a swirl of fire. You know what that is?

This ancient symbol represents the sun-a source of heat and light. It looks like a real Slavic Kolovrat in the following way: a circle ("circle") 8 beams that converge in the center at one point. The ends of the rays are bent only in one direction, which means the continuous rotation of the celestial wheel.

However, I did not quite understand what to do with it :-) we Forgot our history, traditions are gone.

Costumed boys, not hesitating, at times shouting funny limericks.

Everyone was in a festive mood. Everyone smiled and tried to participate in some competition. For example, kids especially liked to throw valenoks.

And "our team" won the tug of war :-)

No one stood idle.

Near the Pancake post is a large crowd of people who one by one had their opportunities to climb up.

Someone got to the middle and stopped halfway :-)

It is not an easy task to climb such a high pole. Each participant had his own technique of climbing, watching, I confess, was very fun...

I even made a little video.

And when the pole was fixed the gift, the number of applicants increased significantly :-)
