📷 Live sculptures on the streets

Hello, my dearest friends! In recent years, walking through the streets and parks of Russian cities, I notice that we began to appear live sculptures. The made-up actors-mimes quite to themselves fit into shape of modern and dynamically developing Krasnodar.

If you delve into the history of living statues, it takes its roots from Latin America, where once 3 actors came up with such an original work, becoming the first living exhibits: Paco, Tonio and Pepe.

Especially popular living sculptures were in 70-80-ies, when they began to appear on the main streets of Barcelona, and then throughout Europe. Today, they are increasingly can be found in urban parks.

The peculiarity of living sculptures is their statuarity and the complete absence of any movements for a significant period of time.

At first I was even amazed at how these people manage to stand so much without movements. I could use five minutes, no more. :-)

This is quite difficult, especially if there are children nearby. They are trying to touch you and make you laugh, and even worse to take away some accessory or attribute.

Street actors can be difficult to achieve external similarities with the character. The absence of facial expressions due to the application of a thick layer of makeup and paint (not only on clothes but also on the face), allows you to achieve the desired static images.

We were really surprised by the equanimity of the artists and how they painted their clothes in bronze, gold or silver. All somatic parts of the body up to the ears were covered with makeup.

Everyone was happy to be photographed next to these living sculptures.

Probably not every girl would do that. After a few minutes you will be numb legs and arms, you want to change position or just look at the surrounding nature, but you can not.

At the moment, you are focused on the views of many people and you have to clearly fulfill their difficult role.

And this model chose a beautiful hat, which strongly covered all the features, allowing its owner to observe everything happening.

This sculpture was called "Stone flower".
