My ArtVenture: Acrylic painting “Scarlet Sails”

in #esteem6 years ago

Hello dear Steemians,

Today I would like to present you my painting that was inspired by my childhood movie “Scarlett Sails” that was produced in 1961 produced by Mosfilm and directed by Alexandr Ptushko. It is based on Alexander Grin's 1923 adventure novel of the same name. The story is a romantic fantasy and is described as a "fairy tale".

To describe shortly, once upon the time there was a fisher who had a young daughter, his wife died so they live only two of them. During the day, the girl was playing at the shore, also it was an old man who also lived there and he told different fairy-tales to children. Once he told to the girl that one day a Prince will come from far away land on his own sailing ship with Scarlet Sails just for her who is looking for her for a long time.

Of course, the girl believed and the whole time was waiting for it looking at horizon waiting for Scarlet Sails. Slowly but surely she became a young woman but the prince was not there, the village people starting to make joke about her.

One day a son of rich merchant man was in that village who has notice this young girl sleeping on the shore. He fell in love with her, while being in local pub he asked about her, the locals told who she is and that she is waiting for prince with Scarlet Sails, who she believes will be her future husband.

The young man then ordered to make Scarlet Sails for his ship and one morning headed toward that haven where, normally the girl was. She saw the Sails and run towards. The Merchant man told her that he was looking for her so many years and going to take her in his country. She fell in love with him and of course they married and sail away.

Since then Scarlet Sails the sign of Dream, Love and Hope. Also Scarlet Sails is a celebration in St. Petersburg, Russia, the most massive and famous public event during the White Nights Festival.

Очень красивій рисунок получился.

Спасибо за комплимент Алекс, из-за того что такие маленкие детали, думала будет плохо видно и не была уверенна будет ли хорошо смотреться, но получилось действительно хорошо, сама тоже рада :)
