ลาเวนเดอร์สามัญ
เป็นพืชดอกในวงศ์ Lamiaceae เป็นพืชประจำถิ่นในเมดิเตอร์เรเนียนตะวันตก หลัก ๆ ในเทือกเขาพิเรนีสและเทือกเขาอื่นทางเหนือของประเทศสเปน
เป็นไม้พุ่มมีกลิ่นแรง โตได้สูง 1 ถึง 2 เมตร ไม่ผลัดใบ ใบยาว 2–6 เซนติเมตร และกว้าง 4–6 เซนติเมตร ดอกสีชมพู-ม่วง (สีลาเวนเดอร์) ออกที่ช่อเชิงลดยาว 2–8 เซนติเมตรที่ปลายสุดของลำต้นเรียวไม่มีใบยาว 10–30 เซนติเมตร
มักปลูกลาเวนเดอร์สามัญเป็นไม้ประดับ ได้รับความนิยมจากดอกสีสวยงาม กลิ่นหอมและทนแล้งได้ เติบโตไม่ดีในดินชื้นต่อเนื่อง ค่อนข้างทนได้ดีต่ออุณหภูมิต่ำ ทนต่อดินกรดแต่ชอบดินกลางถึงด่าง ในบางภาวะอาจมีอายุสั้น
