Colouring Your World-With Digital Florals.
Sometimes we just need a dose of colour to lift our spirits and energize us. After a slow recovery from bronchitis this post is just as much for my benefit as any one else's but if others get joy from viewing these images too, then that's a definite bonus.
So, if you need a touch of colour today, put on your sunglasses and scroll down. I have applied digital effects to my original photos and supplied the originals as well.
DAZZLING IRISES:
Iris (Iridaceae) is the flower of the Greek Goddess Iris who is the messenger of Love and the language of the iris flower symbolizes eloquence. Despite its divine origins, it is hardy, reliable, and easy to grow. Irises also attract butterflies and hummingbirds and make lovely cut flowers.

AMAZING AZALEAS:
Azaleas are a genus of the Rhododendron family and are grown mainly for their vibrancy and hardiness. They range in colour from white, pink, mauve, purple, red, orange and yellow and their leaves are shiny, dark green leaves in appearance.
The two types of azalea are single or double flowers and are one of the most popular flowering shrubs in the world. There are thousands of varieties but are native to Asia, Europe and North America. Azaleas bloom in spring and their flowers can last for several weeks and prefer slightly shady areas.

GLAMOROUS MORNING GLORY.
Morning Glory; Ipomoea, are members of the bindweed or Convolvulaceae family. There are over 1,000 species which encompass both annual and perennial herbs, shrubs and small trees. Classed as invasive weeds in many areas, they are cultivated in other areas for their showy appearance and vigorous growth.
Characterized by funnel - shaped blossoms with heart shaped leaves, they are available in shades of white, red, blue, purple, mauve and yellow and prefer full sun but will tolerate light shade. The Chinese have used this plant as a laxative and the Ipomoea Aquatic variety is known as water spinach which is greatly valued as a vegetable in many cultures.
