Blinded by hubris he's unable to see what's beyong anger,
Unable to move forward, towards the next stage.
He is growing weaker instead of growing stronger.
Failure is he's only companion yet he dare not wonder?
How could he not notice that he cannot turn the next page?
Blinded by hubris he's unable to see what's beyond anger.
Anger points him towards a path that leads to blunder
And despite knowing that he could not control his rage.
He is growing weaker instead of growing stronger.
He thought his anger will turn the world asunder.
But in reality he could not even become a wedge.
Blinded by hubris he's unable to see what's beyond anger.
He has eyes but is only left to wander
To wander to his doom, closer to the edge.
He is growing weaker instead of growing stronger.
Anger caused him nothing but pain, soon he'll go under.
He is but a prisoner, a fool inside his self made cage.

What is a Villanelle?
A villanelle (also known as villanesque) is a nineteen-line poetic form consisting of five tercets followed by a quatrain. There are two refrains and two repeating rhymes, with the first and third line of the first tercet repeated alternately until the last stanza, which includes both repeated lines. The villanelle is an example of a fixed verse form. The word derives from Latin, then Italian, and is related to the initial subject of the form being the pastoral.
