Myanmar Traditional Novitiation Ceremony Part(2)
The Buddhists have to keep teachings of Buddha as religious heritage, and so that novitiation and ordination are preservation of Buddha's teachings. A novice is called as Koyin in Myanmar. A Koyin has to abide by the rules of conduct down for the novice. The age at which one should be a novice is the age one can fully observe the rulers of conduct. There are 228 rules of conduct for the Buddhist monks. One must attain the age of 20 to be ordained. One is to be novitiation before the ordination, so it is said to be novitiated before 20.

ဗုဒၶဘာသာဝင္မ်ားသည္ ဗုဒၶ အေမြကို ခံယူၾကရ၏။ ႐ွင္သာမေဏျပဳျခင္း၊ ရဟန္းဝတ္ျခင္းသည္ ဗုဒၶ အေမြကို ခံယူျခင္းျဖစ္သည္။ သာမေဏကို ကိုရင္ဟုေခၚ၏။ ကိုရင္သည္ ကိုရင္သာမေဏတို႔ က်င့္အပ္ေသာ က်င့္ဝတ္မ်ားကို မက်ိဳးမေပါက္ေအာင္ လိုက္နာႏိုင္ေသာ အရြယ္သည္ ကိုရင္ဝတ္ရန္ သင့္ေတာ္ေသာ အရြယ္ျဖစ္၏။ ရဟန္းသည္ သာမေဏထက္ ပိုမိုမ်ားျပားေသာ က်င့္ဝတ္မ်ားကို လိုက္နာရသည္။ ရဟန္းမ်ားလိုက္နာေသာ က်င့္ဝတ္ ၂၂၈ ခု႐ွိပါသည္။ အသက္ ၂၀ ျပည့္မွသာ ရဟန္းျပဳလုပ္၍ရ၏။ ရဟန္းသည္ ကိုရင္ျဖစ္ၿပီးမွ ရဟန္းျဖစ္ၾကရေပရာ တစ္နည္း အသက္ ၂၀ မတိုင္မီ ကိုရင္ဝတ္ၾကသည္ဟုလည္း မွတ္ႏိုင္ပါသည္။
Being a novice is in other words, preparing to enter the monkhood. Myanmar are used tohold novitiation, ear-boring and wedding ceremonies lavishly.
ကိုရင္ဝတ္ျခင္းသည္ ရဟန္းေဘာင္သို႔ဝင္ရန္ ျပင္ဆင္ျခင္းျဖစ္ပါသည္။ ျမန္မာတို႔သည္ ႐ွင္ျပဳနားသမဂၤလာႏွင့္ ထိမ္းျမားမဂၤလာတို႔ကို တတ္ႏိုင္လ်ွင္ တတ္ႏိုင္သေလာက္ ေငြေၾကးအကုန္အက်ခံကာ ျပဳလုပ္ၾကသည္။
