January 8th - Day 92 - Cycle 5 Blood Test, Another Positive Result.

Here we are another day and what a nice day it is. 51f / 10.5c and the sun is shinning bright. I sure do miss the outdoors. Days are getting longer and warmer. Over time and Slowly anyway.

I arrived at the hospital at 1 pm and the first thing that happened was lunch. “Mr. wolf would you like a lunch tray”. Oooh how great and yes I would. I must admit it was very good. They keep you happy through your stomach. Make me happy. LOL

Now I just have to wait until the results come back. Wow there done. That was quick.

Let’s take a look and see how we are doing.

WBC (white blood count) 12.6 - it has never been this high before and it is why we are taken the shots to get it up there. Yes !!!!!!

RBC. Low but that is the chemo, its been holding steady there.

Platelet Count 86. Its low. But it is the week after chemo and always drops then. As we get further from the chemo treatment the count increases. So we will make sure we dont cause any bleeding and look at it again next week. If you remember the last cycle we were down in the 40.0’s.

This is a very good report. Chemo is causing less damage to the body while killing off the cancer cells. All signs and vitals are positive.

For the next week we will keep building our strength and vital signs. Next Tuesday we will have a meeting with the oncologists and review all options. Then the following week its cycle 6, last of the chemo treatment.
