Serangga ini merupakan belalang malam yang sering kami sebut "daruet jen".
Belalang ini tidak sering dijumpai pada siang hari, mereka sering muncul di malam hari sehingga di sebut belalang malam.
Nama ilmiah dari belalang ini adalah Katydids.
Mengapa disebut daruet jen (why we call satanic locus
So called because these locusts often appear or visit the houses at night. Besides, this grasshopper is not like a grasshopper usually, its wide and slender shape with its long hind legs and its short body of wingspan, this grasshopper looks strange. So that if these locusts come into the house at night, people assume as devil incarnate creatures who want to disturb the inhabitants of the house.
In our place, these locusts are rarely seen in the morning and afternoon. either because the population is a little or grasshopper is clever camouflage, I do not know.
