A Nice Snack - Local Product
This morning I was not in the mood for a heavy breakfast. So while looking for something to eat I found the native snacks I bought when I went to the grocery.
This a Piyaya, a kind of flat bread which is filled with muscovado sugar and glucose syrup. It is kind of tasty and does go well with a nice hot cup of coffee, sorts of off sets the sweetness.
There are also different other fillings. I also got the mango one. There is also an ube one. I am not sure if they added more flavors.
Not so expensive and it is a local or native product. It was filling enough and as soon as the muscovado one is finished I will open the mango flavored one. This is more common here in Iloilo but originated from Bacolod City, Negros.
