Reflections Celebrating National Education Day

National Education Day (Indonesia) has passed. Every 2 Mai in Indonesia is celebrated national education day. To reflect, let us see the development of education in school for a while.

At the commemoration this time, school education is matched by culture.
As explained in the speech of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Indonesia, on the National Education Day at LHOKSUKON.

Strengthening education, and promoting culture. The Minister of Education invites to make Hardinas momentum, reflecting on the close relationship between education and culture as reflected in the teachings, thought, and practice of education conducted by Ki Hadjar Dewantara.

On the other hand, added the Minister of Education, the government is currently trying to show the world that Indonesia is a country rich in culture. As acknowledged by one of the assistant Director General of UNESCO, Fransesco Bandarin who said that Indonesia as a country of cultural power.

So Law No. 5/2017 on cultural promotion, mandates that the promotion of culture requires strategic steps in the form of protective, development, utilization and coaching efforts. The goal, to realize a sovereign society politically, independently economic and personality in culture.

Therefore, the National Education Day warning in 2018, the government continues to seek education. That is, education is sustained and illuminated by national culture.
