DAV: Transportation industry revolutionized

Transportation industry has always been evolving from the day one but in the recent times the pace of evolution is becoming super-fast. The old methods and means of transportation of goods and humans are changing rapidly, the advancement in technology is opening the doors to new avenues. It wasn’t not long ago when the transportation of small packages was only possible through the traditional government owned postal services which was too slow and time consuming. The introduction of courier companies made the transportation of packages much faster although expensive. All these means of transportation, for humans and packages are centralized doesn’t matter if government owned or privately owned.

DAV is a completely new concept, it’s a blockchain based protocol which will enable a decentralized global transportation network. It will provide an opportunity for anyone to use the transportation services of all kinds or put their own vehicles on the network to create a global decentralized ecosystem. Drivers and passengers will be able to communicate directly and one can either share a ride or a driver can offer a ride to someone who needs to travel from one place to the other and the driver gets paid as per terms. This shared ride is not a new concept, networks like Uber and Lyft are already working on the same concept but there is a big difference, Uber, Lyft or other similar networks are not decentralized networks, the role of the network is that of a middleman and a part of revenue is shared with the service provider whereas DAV is a completely decentralized network therefore no revenue sharing which makes the ride sharing much cheaper.

DAV network will also provide an opportunity to deliver or receive the packages in a decentralized manner without involving a middleman and therefore much cheaper and quicker than the traditional delivery companies. The individual who needs to avail the delivery service and the vehicle owner going towards the destination will contact each other on DAV directly without any middleman, that will save time any money. These are a few examples which ensure that DAV is going to bring a revolution in transportation industry.
