eUsahawan Training By MDEC

A free training is known as eUsahawan course provided by Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) on last Saturday (June 9, 2018) at Kolej Komuniti Seberang Jaya, Penang, Malaysia.

In the year 2015, MDEC has launched a eUsahawan program to help small and medium business towards the digital world and to generate new income through the digital platform. It is an initiative for the government to nurture new generation from offline to online entrepreneur and to strengthen the local economy.

The training start at 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. It was unexpected crowded, as the online list registration is less than 15 people. Surprisingly, it turns out that more than 40 people attended this course. We suppose will use the computer lab for our training but due to the overwhelming turnout, we have moved to the lecture hall.

The eUsahawan training is instructed by Mr. Rahimi and the whole training is in Malay language. The whole teach how to utilize Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp for small and medium business. It also provides the basic methodology of business, copywriting, SEO and closing sales using Whatsapp.

Due to “Bulan Ramadan”, most of the restaurant is closed nearby the area. Fortunately, my friends and I found a restaurant known as Alibaba Café, which is not owned by Jack Ma. We had a quick lunch since the break time we had is about 30 minutes. We rush back and continue our learning there.

At the end of the course, we have to fill up some attention and survey form. We have also been given a certification for our participation. In addition, all of us were invited to a Whatsapp group for networking. It is a great experience to learn from a Malay trainer. He is good in leading the Malay participation and provides a good example of business scenario happen in Malaysia.
