Last day of #hotellyfe
I just finished a 3.8km run that lasted about 0hh:21mm:8ss !
So the dudes have taken away the big crazy fans from our kitchen... all the floorboards are dry (except for the one that couldn't get dry, which they've removed)... so we can move back in.
Now we'll need to find builders to rebuild our kitchen, as you can see from the photo below, the had to take out all the cabinets and sink as well... so it might be cereal for dinner for a while.
That said, I'm super pumped to get home... I can't wait to run in the forest again... I've been driving back to train in my gym for my upper body sessions , but I've missed lots of other things... working on a desktop, sitting on a couch, not having randos wake me up at 4am...

Oh dude you must be so excited to get out of the hotel. Happy for you. Plus, everyone loves cereal.
Since the kitchen is torn apart, it might be a cool opportunity to build something rad if you've got a couple tools. Have you heard of the raspberry pi Magic Mirror? I've been thinking for a while that it would be cool to build one of these into a cabinet or countertop so you can sling up some recipes, or have whatever kinda cool tickers / grocery lists / calendars at a quick glance.
Also -- you should say goodbye to that treadmill Office-Space style.
Hmm, that's a pretty amazing idea. We're still in the midst of just finding out exactly what's covered by insurance, we don't know if they'll try and fix stuff or replace stuff.... but if they just throw us a cheque then maybe a magic mirror could totally be on the cards!
Hahaha, I started Office-Space-Stylin' the treadmill when the hotel staff came in to check on the ruckus. I told them I hated him, and they were all 'fair enough' and joined in. Nobody likes a treadmill.

So, ah, I don't know if you've heard of the Steem blockchain, it's pretty good... well this Exhaust thingy is website that posts to the Steem Blockchain... it also records all the good bits of your exercise and shares it with it's little/ace community... like this:

They'll do races and competitions and stuff that I find a little bit motivating. Look how I'm not even last in the leaderboard - whooo!

Do they take a cut of your post earnings? How do they record your training?

So... the answer to your first question is.... kind of. They take a 20% cut of your post earnings BUT that is pumped back to the community in the form of a liquid steem payout at the end of the week. They combine everyone's earnings for the week, including the exhaust fund raising on their own posts and then payout different amounts depending on your activity levels. I've found that they're pretty amazingly generous.
Training is recorded either by you filling out the questionnaire on the post creation page (duration, distance, etc) or by uploading a file from your Strava, Apple Watch, etc...
