240k SP reached! Confidence, seizing opportunities and investing in projects on the Steem Blockchain.
This morning I powered up 1231STEEM and crossed 240k SP!
I bought STEEM at the lowest price yet so far 20,1 cents.
Man, that is cool. Closing in rapidly towards my goal.
And I know that no doubt there are people out there that can buy a million STEEM in an instant and not even blink but fuck it, that's not me.
This is how I started out a little over 3 years ago.
Basically, like everyone else.
According to Steemit board, I earned 87K SP on Steem in that time period.
From where STEEM is now totally not worth it from a financial point of view some might say because it's only $17400 in STEEM under current prices.
I heard that argument before.
It was worth it for me though because I was here in 2016 and saw what STEEM is capable of when it wants to get a move on.
The days of $10 for 1 SBD was pretty glorious. $4 STEEM wasn't bad either.
I was lucky that I realized back then that it would be wise to store some of those SBD tokens into Fiat in the bank.
The feeling in crypto was so euphoric everyone was buying. Even my Fruit guy asked if I could get him some ETH.
I'm not the biggest fan of Fiat but compared to what would happen to STEEM it was a great move.
Today I'm buying back those SBD's but in the form of STEEM. And I can do that because I didn't waste that FIAT money on consumer goods or holidays. It's investment money in the end.
I think it's a good move currently even though the noise of how shit STEEM is is pretty deafening.
I don't care, the noise that selling crypto for FIAT was shit was also deafening in 2017/2018.
You get immune to it. You have too, otherwise, you get slaughtered in the crypto space.
But on Steem talking about buying STEEM is a little worse because it's a WORKING blockchain with apps that WORK and real users that use those apps.
Something others blockchain don't have.
And real users have opinions and they can share them on the blockchain itself and they do!
I think negative sentiment get's exponentially worse on Steem compared to other chains because of that but also exponentially positive when it turns around.
Just wait until it happens. You'll see.
I'm just chipping away reaching my own goals and building a foundation on Steem.
STEEM wise it's going great. But I'm also building a foundation on other projects build on Steem.
I got my Splinterlands deck rented to a good player and the player is sending a daily report of their earnings.
It looks like this. Almost 20k DEC in 7 days not bad.
I've also invested a lot in Dporn. They have 17 verified content creators now and working their way up to many more. There are also more people in Discord showing up showing interest in the project.
I've recently bought 75k AFIT tokens because I believe that the project has a potentially amazing business model and they were cheap.
Nobody is paying attention to Steem at the moment. I'm having a field day every day because of it.
But more importantly, besides all this, I have completely changed as a person in the last 3 years.
It's been good opening up my life a bit on Steem.
By nature, I'm an introvert. At times socially awkward I guess.
But I have learned a lot of new skills. I can write, but I can also present a decent Vlog and my Live Radio show is doing well for what it is.
Those are lifetimes skills.
I also learned a lot about human behavior in general in the last 3 years on Steem.
I have seen good people turn bad and shit on the one thing that gave them a lot.
I have learned to identify with builders and surround myself with them.
I have learned to be myself and believe in myself. I have become confident.
But above all.
I learned that I fucking love Steem.
This place is the most active, diverse, interesting and the place on the internet were the opportunities are currently up for grabs for the people that want it.

I agree with you. I also consider Steemit as my second home, a very peaceful place where I not only get my livelihood but also personal growth, entertainment, learning and best of all, meeting lots of good people.

Steemit is a vice to me. Although lately I have been away for 2 weeks and I already feel nostalgia. Hehehe

Of course, congratulations are in order! That is a great place to be, especially in light of the fact that so many have pulled the chute an are bailing. I must be screwed up in my thinking, but, this is my time to put my money where my mouth is.
I still believe in steem, all that it has and all that it offers. Many think of it as their bank in life, yet these same people are willing to post everywhere else for free? I had never seen anything like this when I joined. Albeit, I joined mid-2017 because it looked like more trouble than it was worth. I was used to sites promising thing and not delivering.
Until I joined and found my home. So much to offer and a place to hone my skills or at least develop some. I agree that with the development of some of the things here, it forced me to do things and go places I hadn't dreamed of, but, to this day, I am grateful for the push.
I do hold you up as an example of what a good steemian looks like. I admire the fact that despite some of the things that have happened that may have tarnished one's thinking, you remain positive and forge ahead, spreading out and finding your place. I aspire to become that knowledgable so that I may make the right actions.

That is awesome. Congrats on the Milestone. You will be up to 250k in no time! There is definitely a lot happening here. I can barely keep up with it all. You would think things would be better given that. I guess it is totally in investors market right now!
