With the announcement last week that Alfa Romeo will return to the F1 and partner up with Sauber for the 2018 season, everyone was delighted.

But does this also mean Ferrari will stay in the Formula One, despite its threats to leave the sports over Liberty's plans for the future of F1, including the new engines?

Red Bull's team manager Christian Horner does believe so.
"They (Alfa) come under the same management as Sergio so I can’t believe he’d have brought Alfa Romeo in for Ferrari to be leaving in a couple of years,” Horner told Reuters.

He added: "Formula One needs Ferrari and Ferrari needs Formula One. It’s a marriage of convenience in many respects but both entities ultimately need each other. And we certainly want Ferrari in Formula One".

"A Formula One with Ferrari in, it’s one of the biggest brands in the world and they are a great team to compete against."

Could you imagine a Formula One championship without Ferrari?
