Facebook hires top Google engineer to head its chip development

The social network is pushing through with its plans to build its own chips.

Google snapped up a few apple chip design talents over the past year to create its own processor. But now it has lost one of its own to another rival.

According from Blomberg, Facebook has hired led the group that design chips for big G's devices, and one of the teams creation Pixel Visual Core Shahriar Rabii. Which is the tech giant's first custom imaging chip thats allowed third party apps to take HDR + quality photos.
