** FAMILY: its effect and essence.**

This term remains one of the oldest words known to mankind. It has transcended and evolved over time to mean a wide range of things.

To the early men, it was more than just offsprings from your parents or blood relatives. The term Family was built on trust, honesty and truth. There was respect and unity among the early men. Members of a clan or community were all accepted as family. They ate together, shared things in common, looked out for each other and they loved themselves that they wouldn't want to see harm come upon each other.

With the increase in human population, demand and supply of goods and services that were in short supply brought into play the undesirable qualities in man and thus, the negligence of the importance of the Family principles and statues. This population increase brought spontaneous changes, segregation and confusion among the human race. The story of Human race changed at that single moment, it became a struggle, the term "survival" was coined out and the fittest and strongest of the human race took great advantage of this era.

Let fast forward to the 21st Century,
Family as we know is the basic unit in the life of child that supports and teaches the fundamental of life. The family has turned to mean a lot to some various individual but this has affected them in more ways than one.
The essence of the Family is that it shapes us. The events that take place in our various homes play an important role in shaping our characters, morals and temperament.
A few of these are notable instances of the role of Family in making us who we are:
Drew Barrymore tops our list. Drew Barrymore was neglected and abused as a child. As a young Hollywood star, Barrymore was a regular at Studio 54 when she was just 11. Barrymore entered rehab for the first time at age 14. Drew Barrymore struggled with addiction throughout her life, but she has risen above her past experiences to become a successful Hollywood actress, producer and director.
Talk show host Oprah Winfrey has turned her horrible experiences with childhood abuse into an inspiring tale of triumph. Winfrey suffered physical and sexual abuse growing up and at the age of 13 she ran away. On her talk show, Oprah Winfrey frequently welcomed guests who had also suffered abuse, in hopes to raise awareness and take away the shame associated with it. Tyler Perry recently came forward with his experiences with abuse in hopes to inspire other men to release themselves from unnecessary guilt.

A talk with Oprah revealed that that there are four things every person should know. First, 90 percent of child molesters know their victims. Most are not strangers who lurk in the bushes, waiting to kidnap children. "We're talking about family friends, uncles, fathers, brothers and neighbour," Oprah says. "Less than 10 percent of molesters are the strangers who are abducting kids who you see on the news."

In summary, the concept Family is a very crucial fact to neglect. Despite the fact that a few of these children were affected in an unnatural way, it didn't make them go off track rather it formed a basis for who they later became in life. Which is still what am emphasizing on.

Keep the children safe and in good hand.

Watch out for mood swings in the presence of someone that know.

Watch out for secrecy and temperament.
Know your child and let them trust you.

Make that bond with your children a special one. Let their memories of family be that of love, care and support. Memories makes us who we are.

Our childhood experiences gives us direction later in life.
