Tilda snail
Tilda is a fabric brand founded by Norwegian designer Tone Finnanger, best known in the form of amazing dolls and animals.
I saw many photos of Tilda dolls, hares, giraffes etc. I fell in love with them.
That’s why I tried to sew some of them. First I thought that it’ll be unreal. But I watched many Master Classes. Then I tried to make it myself.
Step-by-step explanation.
You need: Tilda skin fabric, thread, embroidery yarn, filling, materials for making faces, glue or a glue gun, ribbons, beads.
Fold the skin fabric in half, and iron. Print and cut out the templates.
Then trace the parts by using a thin waterproof pen or pencil.
Sew around the pieces by hand or on your sewing machine, but do not sew on the dotted lines, these mark the openings. Then cut out the pieces.
Reverse them with the help of the wooden stick or pencil.
Iron the pieces, and stuff the body. Sew up carefully the details to each other.
Embroider two eyes or stamp them with black paint. Apply rouge with a dry brush to make the cheeks look rosy. You also can decorate the Tilda snail with ribbons or beads.
