Does your family enjoy watching Junior Master Chef also?

About 3 years back we started watching Master chef Junior with the kids, it was great with 5 of them. They were in constant competition for who would "get" to cook each night, or what they would pick from the market for dinner. Sure sometimes it was hit and miss... and I mean miss. But hey these kids on tv were banging out some cracking meals, so we encouraged it!

At the very least, while this fad lasted we got a break from cooking and the kids got to explore flavors and measurements with a hands on approach, good old life skills!

Here is one of the girls desserts... They walked out ever so proud to present their creation, and were horrified when I burst out laughing.
I couldn't hold back the laughter, when they first brought it out

It looked like it was fresh from yard to plate

It wasn't until the other kids blurted out things like

"we're not eating poop"

That the girls saw what we were laughing at, and that it wasn't at them. They were so proud of their creation that they were oblivious to notice the resemblance before hand... Bless.

But that shit tasted good!

(in all honesty this is not our chef for this dish, this is and old photo of their big sister)
