While the punishment of 16-yrs is a long time, there's a disturbing pattern of people being handed light punishments for crimes similar to this e.g. the sexual assault of children, rape by cop etc and these light punishments aren't solely being handed to people within positions of power but to paedophiles in general.
I don’t think it’s long enough in this case
Considering that people are given 1-2 year sentences for saying the wrong thing on the internet, 16 years is just a slap in the wrist.
